Rural Urban Institute for Entrepreneurship Skill Development is Regd. under NCT of Delhi as an Autonomous Skill Development Organisation Recognised by Governing body of RUSDET offering certified Entrepreneurship Skill based programs training under the scheme of Rural Urban Skill Development Mission (RUSDM) in the form of value-added courses/ Self Employment courses by setting and maintaining standard in skill based vocational education in the country.
The Scheme of RUSDM is being implemented through Private Organisation, Institutions & Non-Public NGOs in the country. The scheme aims to provide vocational skills in a non-formal manner to illiterate, neo-literate people living in rural and urban areas who have primary level education and who cannot pursue higher education and focus only on pursuing vocational education.
The skill level and educational attainment of the workforce of any country determines productivity as well as its ability to adapt to the changing industrial environment. In India, most of the workforce does not have marketable skills which is a hindrance in getting decent employment and improving economic conditions. Basically, the reasons for this are - large percentage of population living below the poverty line, non-availability of adequate institutions to cater to the needs of early school dropouts and millions of people entering the market every year. At present skill development is mostly happening in an informal manner i.e. acquiring skills at workplaces.
